Here are some of the top ones:
Les Epicuriales (May to June)
This transforms the Allees-de-Tourny into a huge outdoor restaurant. The yearly celebration of food and beverage results in many eateries covering the entire avenue. There are several events you can enjoy at this celebration including cooking classes and top-notch cuisine from chefs working in the France’s South-West region.

Bordeaux Fête le Fleuve (May to June)
This event doesn’t take place every year but instead every-other year. It’s still an excellent one to visit because it’s the largest festival of the city. The event celebrates the river and there’s a different theme every year. There are different activities you can enjoy like concerts, trips, dancing, fireworks, eating/drinking, etc. In fact, there’s even a swimming event across the Garonne River. If there’s one event you won’t want to miss in Bordeaux this is it.
Dansons sur les Quais (July to August)
This event takes place on the Quai Louis XVIII during every evening for a month except for Mondays/Tuesdays. If you’re a fan of dancing then this is an event you won’t want to miss. There are different types of dancing during the week including ballroom, swing, rock, salsa, country, and others. There’s something for everyone. There’s even a demonstration from dance experts if you want to see the right way to do the different types of dances.
Festival Reggae Sun Ska (August)
Do you love reggae music? If so then you won’t want to miss this yearly reggae festival. It takes place at the college campus at Pessac. There have been famous artists that performed at the event during past years. Cinésites in Summer (June to September)
This includes the open-air screening of popular movies. They’re shown at various historical sites throughout eh Bordeaux region. One of the best features of this event is that it’s 100% free so you won’t have to spend extra money during your trip to Bordeaux.
Medoc Marathon (September)
This fall event includes 8,500 runners and not only features long-distance running but also opportunities to enjoy high-quality food and beverage. During the event, you can enjoy all sorts of tasty foods including oysters, steak, ham, and Bordeaux wine.
There are also several bands that provide tunes during the race. At nighttime, there are many events to enjoy like dancing and fireworks. Make sure to stay in the marathon village to enjoy even more food and drink.
